On the Book Front

I’ve fallen off the wagon a bit, so to speak.

Whereas, up until now I’ve been averaging 2-3 books per month, I have only read one in the month of June.

Saint Mazie was a quick, fun read. As my mother-in-law said, the book ended in a satisfying way, but the book was so good you could have just kept reading on and on.

But now I’m left with nothing to read it feels like, which is ridiculous because I have a bookshelf full of books I’ve held onto to read in moments like this! I don’t feel burned out on reading, which is good, but my reading groove does seem to be a bit off…

However, I’ve got a few books on hold at the library that I’ll hopefully get to read this century–one newer book that I’ve heard good initial reviews about, and one that has been around for a while and has received nothing but praise:

In the meantime, I guess I’ll go stare at my book shelf for a while.
